He sleeps with little Dean sometimes. The guinea pig got its name from its attitude of course - rebellious at first, and, like the older Winchester, very slow to trust. Cas sometimes calls him “Dee”; a nickname that the furry animal seems to like, small little spasms rocking it whenever he hears the sound. The food is kept in one pocket - Dee of course, residing permanently in the other. Dean asks, always, why he carries Dee around with him, to which Cas replies without fail, “I’m raising him.”  

Because, he thinks to himself, his life would be hell without care.
